Every now and then, we like to recommend some piece of gear, service or tool that we use and like:

Vizio VX240M 24" LCD HDTV

From ProductWiki.com: "The Vizio VX240M is an affordable and energy-efficient 24" HD LCD television, engineered to use 15% less power than version 3.0 ENERGY STAR specifications. It features SRS TruSurround XT technology, which complements the unit's HD video with equal quality audio. In addition, the VX240M sports a large 24" LCD (1920x1080) screen that supports 1080p HD resolution with over 16 million colors, making it ideal for use with HD-compatible devices."

Almost a year since we acquired this set, and the experience has been excellent. Here, at The Smoking Knife!, we use it as a main production display; running on our desktop workhorse (the HP pavilion a1730n) and the our beloved XBOX 360. For the price; you are getting a good quality, fullHD, display capable of replacing a computer monitor without to much trouble. It's true that the 1920x1080 resolution is not the highest and there're only 2 HDMI ports, but you're buying a cheap, multipurpose display. True being told, the best used for the VX240M is as a small HDTV. But, if you are on a budget, and you need a nice PC monitor plus a HDTV this would be a great choice. For the full spec sheet and more details, check out Vizio's website. TSK! recommends.

From Numark site: The "PHX premium headphones incorporate an isolating, closed-ear design with 50mm neodymium magnets drivers, for professional-quality high output. The PHX package comes with 2 styles of interchangeable ear pads and 3 types of cables."

After five years of continuous use, I can say that this headphones are one of the best on the market. They aren't cheap ( I pay around $150 in 2005) but for the price, you are getting a good quality, professional grade piece of gear. TSK! recommends.
